Both originally from the Philippines, Ken and Tatum met in Calgary in 2013. Ken's love for jewelry began in childhood while helping at his family’s small food stand, conveniently located next to a custom jewelry shop. Fascinated, he spent his free time learning to melt gold and silver. He even discovered that old watch batteries marked "SR" contain silver, which he collected from a nearby watch repairman to refine with borax. By Grade 7 (his first year of high school in the Philippines), Ken proudly wore rings on every finger and silver Cuban chains. A favorite piece was a pendant with his second name, “Charles.” His passion only grew from there. Tatum, equally captivated by sparkle and brilliance, shares his love for jewelry—especially diamonds. Raised by parents who wore gold and diamonds, both deeply value the cultural connection to yellow gold that’s cherished across many Asian cultures, particularly in the Philippines. Together, their journey is rooted in heritage, creativity, and a shared love for shine.
